Does anyone know ior remember sean boyce guesting for middlesbrough in 1987 ..... the reason I ask is that I own a race jacket aparently worn by sean in that season but would like this clarifying one way or the other

No Ron - not to my knowledge. I went to every home meeting and most away ones that season.

I will check my programmes from that season - it is possible he did ride as a guest for us.

You wouldn't have as I meant craig boyce ..... who you might of heard of sorry ..... so to start again has Craig Boyce ever rode as a guest for Middlesbrough He may have guested for Middlesbro at some time, but not in 1987 - he didn't start riding in this country until 1988. I would also be surprised if a guest kept a race jacket - it certainly wouldn't happen in this era Havvy is virtually ripping the jackets off any rider who looks like missing next meeting! |

I beleive he first rode for poole in 1988 so have never been convinced he was the rider ... as for the race jacket no doubts about it being used for racing

jacket shows NL4 Team Champions 1985/6 and I have a program to match same season - riders fiora, burrows, dixon, pusey, wilc***, norton, mcnamara .... other riders for that season i beleive were ian atkinson, andrew buck, david holiday & tracey bray .... and a small patch showing coventry competition on right hand side

Yes definitely 1987 race jacket, but won't have been Craig Boyce in that season.

There were no guests in the NL till 1991 they were banned you had to promote from your junior set up. And by 1991 Craig Boyce was a heat leader in the Sunbrite League with Oxford I think briefly before heading back to Poole in the top flight.
