Latest news....
After Ben Barker's terrific performance in the British a Final last night it was easy to miss that fellow Bear Jason Garrity was struggling with his hand injury and withdrew from his final ride. Plans are in place for a guest rider should Jason not be fit enough to ride against the Edinburgh Monarchs on Thursday and may also be a doubt for the away match at Berwick on Saturday. At the moment the Bears are also struggling to find opposition for the vacant race night on the 6th July in which case a social night will take place in support of Ellis Perks.

Nick Morris would be good Nick Morris average showing as 9.26 Graham. We only have 8.94 to play with even with the 5% home guest allowance. 6 of the 10 championship teams riding tomorrow night makes it the more difficult if Jason does not ride. May have to look into the Premiership to see who qualifies as a guest. I'm sure Ben will have it covered has done a good job with guests so far this season.

Troy Batchelor 7.36 prem average how high a average prem can we use Used to be + 50% but I have just looked up his years rules and it just seems to say if a rider is in both leagues the higher average applies which implies that if they only ride in the Premiership then that average applies. So on that basis we could use Troy Bachelor or even Brady Kurtz who I think only rides in the Premiership and has a 7.65 average. Seems strange but that's what it appears to say. Hang on though, this is a SGB rule book better ask Neil Vatcher as he will have a different interpretation.

Apparently had Brady Kurtz lined up for last week, before Jason did his first u turn and then when he did his second Kurtz not available anymore - hence Tommy Gun stepping in

In this league there's probably only palm toft that's even close to a replacement that's available
