Big week this week we need to stay ahead of Sheffield and stay in 4th place (and a play off position). Away Thursday and home Friday to the Yorkshire Tigers. Looks like a full team apart from missing Jason with his injury (unless anyone knows different).
Whats the speculation on replacements for Jason. Will we have guests again this week or will we sign a 28 day replacement.
2 wins and we could go second above both Ipswich and Glasgow.

Don't think Stu Robson strong enough to be honest but i wish him luck happy with schlien Same here. Stu isn't a No 1 , we need established No 1's, though I'm fully aware of the averages rule....I think.... Happy too with Schlien. Each meeting gains more significance as we near the "home straight", and hopefully a top 4 finish. The team are certainly capable of that. UTB

The S.G.Petch Bears will track former favourite Stuart Robson as a guest at Sheffield on Thursday evening with him also taking the no.1 slot at Scunthorpe on Sunday. Rory Schlein will take the position for Redcar's home meeting against Sheffield on the Friday night fixture at Redcar . Kevin Keay stated "The club had looked at a short term signing but simply couldn't come up with a suitable rider for the 28 day period that Jason Garrity is expected to be missing. Jitendra has searched his phone book and done his research and come up with a plan to cover Jason's absence and we thank both Stuart and Rory for turning out for us in this very important period for the Bears. It is important to have a seven man side over this period as trying to use R/R simply puts too much pressure on men and machines with the number of fixtures some of the lads are having to do. Danny Ayres was due to ride seven days on the trot this week and with the travelling that's a great deal of strain at any level. We go into these fixtures full of optimism and need to grab some more away points to keep us in the top four".

Is he with the USA squad At Lynn? Would think so. The problem from Thursday & over the next 10 days will be that riders who may be in any national squads in the World Cup will not be available for the whole period till they get knocked out so cannot commit in advance. Plus because of the World Cup riders who are not in national squads will probably have planned breaks or maybe major engine tunes if they have no meetings in the period. Good job Rory is now classed as British (but not in our national squad) and not Australian or we would have not been able to use him.
