Latest....
The S.G.Petch Bears suffered a blow to their play off hopes last night as German Ace Tobias Busch crashed out in a meeting in Denmark last night. Early reports say nothing is broken but Busch has hip and ankle injuries that will rule him out if this weekends fixtures at Ipswich and Newcastle. At this moment no news of a guest replacement can be given. The good news is that both Jason Garrity and Danny Ayres are expected to be in the side for both matches.

Just our luck , I don't expect anything tonight, in fact I would take the defeat if it meant winning at Newcastle

Toby is having no luck at all injury wise. Best wishes to him for a swift recovery. He must be frustrated to hell copping for all the injuries. Let's hope he is with us again next year, and enjoys the injury free run he deserves. Go Bears !!!

The Bears have managed to acquire the services of Edinburgh's Max Clegg to stand in for the injured Tobias Busch in tonight's match at Ipswich. Jitendra Duffil has been rattling up the phone bill but come up with an ace in Clegg who won an individual meeting at Edinburgh last night. We thank Max and Edinburgh for helping us out at such short notice said team manager Duffill, it's been very difficult finding a rider with so many fixtures this evening but we are sure Max will do a great job . For tomorrow's Tyne Tees derby the Bears bring in Nathan Greaves as cover for Busch.

Good reserve guests for Tobi (4.66 to play with) Max Clegg (4.30) last 2 times at Ipswich this season. 5 & 5+2. Nathan Greaves (4.22) only seems to have ridden at Newcastle once for Ipswich but did score 7+2. If they can both repeat their scores that will do for me.

Battling performance from the Bears. Kept it interesting till last couple of heats. A point was certainly on till then. Onward to Brough Park. Best opportunity for a while with Lambert missing.
