Glasgow four guests and rider replacement Redcar two guests and rider replacement can't accept that David wallinger is the best we could get to replace Ayres sorry what happened to Liam carr Without wanting to argue with you or anybody else, I completely understand your frustration. Unfortunately, I don't think you understand or appreciate my situation recently. After 13 days of constant phone calls arranging and rearranging the Silver Helmet due to several drop outs, only to be berated by several people about the line up, I tried to have one night with my partner away from the stress of arranging speedway meetings. Unfortunately, instead I recieved a message from Danny Ayres telling me he would not be riding for Redcar in the 3 most important meetings of the year. Naturally, in my 'voluntary' role here at Redcar, I once again put all my plans on hold and my relationship under strain by cancelling all my plans to find a guest. I'll list everybody in approached at the end of this post. Thankfully David Wallinger agreed to guest for us last minute as we weren't allowed to use Liam Carr because he guested for Glasgow 7 days earlier. I'm sorry you 'can't accept' he was the best we can do. Maybe you should step into mine and Kev's shoes and give us some suggestions because I'm all out! Take it from me, posts like this will only help to convince me that it's not worth while at all. I really feel that we cannot please anyone because there is very little empathy or understanding for our situation. Anyway here is the list of eligible riders. All were unavailable, said no, didn't answer or simply couldn't ride with such little notice; Knight Davey Wood Hall JPB Mountain Bailey Morley Bacon Lambert Shanes Wajneckt Carr Sarjeant Shuttleworth c***le Priest Compton Thanks for the support.

Firstly Jitendra big big thanks for all you and Kevin have done, I don't think there is any Bears fan who does not appreciate how you have both transformed the club/team this season. However I would guess there is only a very small minority who know how much effort it has taken to move us to where we are and your posting should make fans think about this and the sacrifices you have both made! In my opinion you are correct in that it was a frustration that the side was severely weakened by the withdrawal of Danny. At the beginning of the season if you had offered fans a potential top half of table finish, excellent entertainment from a team of triers/racers and the general feel good factor around the place then most would have settled for that immediately, but you have both done too well, because there was also a slight glimmer of bettering that and actually being in a position to get into top four, and I think that's where the frustration comes in because, as human nature usually dictates, we all wanted a little more and then with injuries & withdrawals plus the barring of chosen guest, we could see the chance being snatched away! Well done again, you both should be proud - and get that evening sorted to enjoy some quality time with your partner! and

Thanks for all the kind comments, they are very much appreciated. In regards to Simon Lambert guesting for Glasgow and racing for Peterborough the next day.....the 8 day rule only stops a rider 'guesting' at the same track more than once in 8 days UNLESS he is replacing the home teams number 1. Very disappointing to be rained off today and yesterday but it makes the defeat at Glasgow easier to take. We would all have been gutted if we could have made the play offs only for the weather to rob us. This way it makes very little difference. Thanks again, Jitendra

Thank you Jitendra , take it from me , that Gingerpig is a right pain in the aris! If he's not knocking over your full pint of beer he's complaining about everything! From where's he's had to park his car to his ongoing gout issues. I don't know how I've managed to put up with standing next to him all season!
