Hoping Jorden can get back to something like his best. I fancy the Bears over two legs. We have silverware to defend.

Hope our promotion are going to ask for this result to stand it's exactly the same situation as the Glasgow match of 2017 when we were losing 24v32 heat Ten not completed due to a crash then missing the curfew the match was awarded as far as I remember the meeting was started on time not over an hour late as was the case this evening . Hope the three riders involved in incidents tonight particularly Jordan have quick recoveries UTB

Vatcher was certainly quick enough to award the meeting that night, and, if I remember rightly there were mumbled accusations of the Bears management using delaying tactics ( unproven of course), that they did precisely that to get a No Meeting decision. Nasty crash for both riders in heat 10.! Really hoping they are not too badly hurt. UTB !!!

That the match has to be rerun is a disgrace, the race could have been awarded given that the Birmingham rider was excluded. Also the time ran out NOT because of the racing incident but because the track was not ready ? The meeting could never have been finished by 10 pm , ,therefore they should not be given this second chance of a re run
Given that the greyhound meeting finished at 12:59 how much time do they require to prepare the track .?

Redcar Speedway would like to thank all the fans in attendance at Perry Barr last night on what was a hugely frustrating evening.
Contrary to a press release made elsewhere earlier today, there were huge concerns from both sides in relation to track conditions, not just from Redcar. To the credit of the riders, they showed patience and asked for track work to be done to improve the situation, due to concerns for their own health and safety - we strongly believe this was justified and support the stance they took, as they have every right to expect a safe surface to race on.
Under increasing pressure, racing began after a delay lasting over an hour, but sadly resulted in serious injury to Jordan Stewart in heat 10. We feel as a club, we did everything possible to assist in making last night a success and to get the meeting finished, though we question whether the meeting should have gone ahead in the first place.
We have appealed to the SCB regarding the result, which we believe should stand. The meeting was abandoned as a direct result of the delay and the inadequate track preparation - under no circumstances should Redcar Speedway suffer due to the errors of the home promotion. Mistakes happen and we accept that, but responsibly needs to be taken and a just outcome reached. It is a fact that Redcar would have been leading by at least 8 points after heat 10.
Finally, we would like to wish our rider and friend Jordan Stewart a speedy recovery and best wishes. He is currently awaiting surgery on his collarbone and shoulder. To say we are gutted by his situation would be an understatement.

Nice to know we have appealed the circumstances are exactly the same as the 2017 Glasgow match at Redcar that was awarded to Glasgow. Other than we started the meeting on time

Birmingham have issued a statement saying they have suspended their season until July 1st at the earliest due to current covid restrictions. Hopefully, they can resume after this date but surely now they should concede the tie so Redcar and Edinburgh can start to arrange dates for the next round.
